Deloraine (Post Code: 7304)

A delightful riverside town with an historic streetscape, Deloraine's streets are lined with Georgian and Victorian buildings and make for a charming morning or afternoon stroll. The town's excellent bakeries and cafes are also popular local hotspots.

The town is a good base from which to explore Cradle Mountain, the Great Western Tiers, Mole Creek and the Central Highlands.

Deloraine's economy is based on tourism and farming, the latter including poppies, herbs, onions, potatoes, ginseng and salmon.

Because of its location between Launceston and Devonport, Deloraine is a transport hub for trade and tourists between the two cities. Most local infrastructure and commercial buildings such as supermarkets, shops, schools, bus routes are also used by the nearby town of Westbury.
