Once a bustling seaport in its own right, Fowlers Bay - formerly known as Yalata - is today a small coastal town in South Australia.
The town does not receive reticulated power or water, but is still a popular overnight destination for those travelling the Nullarbor.
Fowlers Bay is blessed with outstanding fishing, especially for Mulloway, Whiting, Garfish, Tommy Ruff, Trevally and Sweep. Jetty and beach fishing are very worthwhile here and, for those with a boat, nothing short of spectacular.
Just a couple of hours' drive from the Head of Bight, the area boasts many interesting walking tracks, taking in secluded beaches, sand dunes and historical ruins.
