Kyneton is located approximately mid-way between Melbourne and Bendigo, in the scenic Macedon Ranges and on the Campaspe River.
The Calder Freeway, which bypasses the town, and a railway station provide good transport links to the city.
Kyneton has more than its fair share of attractions, making it popular with tourists and weekenders. These include the stunning Botanic Gardens, established in the mid 1800s; mineral springs; stunning architecture, and a range of festivals and events, such as the Kyneton Daffodil Festival.
The town also serves as an educational hub for primary and secondary students, with an excellent range of facilities.
Most sports are catered for here, including horse racing, with the Kyneton District Racing Club scheduling 16 meetings a year, including the Kyneton Cup.
