Predominantly a small country town of a few hundred people, Manildra has a couple of claims to fame, being home to the largest flour mill in the Southern Hemisphere, and the oldest, continuously operating picture theatre.

Manildra is a great place for families with lovely parks and picnic areas, a creek for fishing, and a relatively short drive to the coast.
