Who's In The Money? Australia's Richest Suburbs Revealed

Are you up there with the rich and famous? Is your postcode one of Australia's most affluent?

Check out the Australian Tax Office list of Australia's wealthiest suburbs for the year ending 2014-2015.


Sydney & Melbourne again took out the majority of wealthy tax payers and their respective suburbs.


Australia's #1 richest gong once again went to the leafy, affluent suburb of Toorak in inner-south East Melbourne, with around 145,000 average taxable wage.


Sydney's inner-east was again the richest 'postcode', comprising a handful of suburbs in the inner-east harbourside. The average taxable wage across these suburbs was around 175,000 dollars.


NSW had six of the Top 10 richest suburbs and NSW also had the poorest suburbs in Australia.


QLD didn't even make the list this time.


ACT was the most generous in extra spending in gifts. Some popular choices are the Star Apple, Nasturtiums, Kang Kong, Lemon Myrtle, Kale and Purple Basil.
